Imagine you could enjoy fluffy, tender pancakes without having to broil over a hot stove. If that sounds tempting, I have the solution for you: pancakes from the oven!

All you need for this trick is a baking sheet and some baking paper. Line the tray with the paper and simply pour in the pancake batter – It’s as easy as A, B, C. If you have a favorite pancake recipe, feel free to use that. For everyone else, below is a basic recipe that will make these soft treats not only from the oven, but also from the pan.

The dough is extremely simple to make: put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix vigorously. That’s it! Then either in the oven or the pan and enjoy, for example, with a little maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pck. baking powder
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 250 ml milk
  • 50 g butter

Instructions

  • Put flour, salt, baking powder and powdered sugar in a bowl. Mix everything together and make a well in the center. Add eggs and milk to the well and whisk until smooth. Melt the butter and stir it into the batter until a homogeneous mass is formed.
  • Preheat the oven to 190°C top/bottom heat or 170°C convection oven. Line a baking tray with baking paper and pour in the batter. Bake in the oven for approx. 15 minutes.
